Ausgangspunkt der ausgestellten Werke waren Besuche in Frauen-Reservaten und Ghettos der Aborigines in Australien. Mit dem Ausstellungstitel »Alle Menschen sind gleich« spielt Dina Draeger ironisch auf die Diskrepanzen zwischen Ideal und Realität, Politik und Religion, Freiheit und Gesetz an. Dina Draeger reist in nähere und ferne Länder, um Menschen zu beobachten und in alltäglichen oder auch ihr fremden Situationen zu fotografieren. Die Fotos sind der Ausgangspunkt ihrer Malerei, um mit den Techniken und Bildmotiven zugleich die Frage nach Wahrheit und Wirklichkeit mit der Reflektion über existentielle Fragen menschlichen Daseins zu verschränken.

Visits to Aboriginal Women´s Reserves and Ghettos in Australia were the starting point for the exhibited works.
The exhibition title »All human beings are equal« is an ironic allusion to the discrepancy between the ideal and reality, politics and religion, freedom and law.
The human being is at the centre of artist Dina Draeger´s works. For many years she has travelled to close and faraway lands to observe human beings and photograph them in their everyday lives, in everyday and to her sometimes foreign situations. The photographs are the origin of her paintings. Using techniques and themes she interlaces the question of truth and reality with doubt and the reflection on existential questions of human entity.
