It is wonderful to be lonely. On the beach, the sun shining over me, the form of the waves in front of me. Or in the mountains. Lonely birds circling in the sky. Silence moving the clouds. Or completely alone with a book. Completely alone.
The opposite opinion also holds water: whenever another man looks at me and I see myself through his eyes, his perception comes from both how I already view myself and from what others see in me—a consistently complete picture of myself.
