Using the example of being in the company of an terminally ill young Iranian cancer patient and his family, Claudia Langanki, head of the Kinderhospiz Bärenherz Wiesbaden (Bear Hearts Children’s Hospice), will present how intercultural work and sensitivity can be helpful during the painful process of dying, death, and mourning. Cultural and religious differences are the backdrop of the common, genuine and pure emotion at the departure of a beloved child.
The lecture will be accompanied on the harp by music therapist Heidi Schock Corall.
